About FootballFilter
What is FootballFilter?
FootballFilter is designed to bring you the latest football news from various reputable sources like FourFourTwo, Sky Sports, and OneFootball. Our system automatically fetches articles, uses AI to generate concise summaries and categorize the content, and then presents it to you in easy-to-use formats. The goal is to help you quickly find the news that matters most to you.
Using the Feed Page
The Feed page offers a focused, one-article-at-a-time experience, perfect for quickly catching up on today's news. Here's how it works:
- Swipe Interface: Swipe left on a card to dismiss the article for the day. Swipe right to open a detailed view of the article.
- Personalization: If you're logged in and have set preferences on your Profile page (categories, clubs, players, etc.), the feed prioritizes articles matching your interests.
- Dismissals: Articles you swipe left on won't reappear in the feed for the rest of the day (based on UTC).
- Order: Preferred articles appear first, followed by other news from today. If you have no preferences set or aren't logged in, articles appear in reverse chronological order based on when they were processed.
- Progress Bar: The bar at the top shows your progress through the day's preferred articles (if any) and then the remaining articles.
Using the Dashboard Page
The Dashboard provides a broader overview of recent articles in a grid format, offering powerful filtering and sorting capabilities.
- Grid View: See multiple articles at a glance. Click any card to view its full details.
- Filtering: Use the dropdown menus to filter articles by Category, Club, Player, League, or News Source. Filter options are based on the currently displayed articles.
- Sorting: Sort the articles by 'Newest', 'Oldest' (based on processing time), or 'Headline' (alphabetical).
- Pagination: Navigate through multiple pages of articles using the 'Previous' and 'Next' buttons. You can also adjust the number of articles shown per page.
